Berniece Cecilia Knutson

Berniece C. Knutson January 25, 1927 �" August 3, 2008 Tribute: Berniece Cecelia Knutson was born in Fort Collins to Louis and Lawrence (Michaud) Orleans. She graduated from Fort Collins High School and then went on and graduated from St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth, KS with a bachelor’s degree in music and a minor in English. On June 21, 1951 Berniece married Freddie Knutson in Fort Collins. Mrs. Knutson was a teacher in Genoa, CO for five years, and 20 years in Wray, CO. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, crafts, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Knutson had a wonderful sense of humor and really enjoyed socializing with her friends and students. Mrs. Knutson was the choir director for St. Andrew’s in Wray, CO. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greeley. Mrs. Knutson died on Sunday August 3, 2008 at North Colorado Medical Center. Survivors: husband, Freddie Knutson of Greeley; children, Gene Knutson of Westminster, JoAnn Knutson of Thorton, Jerry Knutson and wife Marie of Martinez, CA, Kathy Lutheran and husband Gary of Fort Collins, Connie Knutson of Greeley, Terri Knutson of Medford, OR, Robbie Knutson-Ratto and husband Bill of Danville, CA, and Jill Knutson of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicholas, Laura, and Sarah Knutson, Angie Nielsen and husband Greg, Lindsay and Emily Lutheran; great grandchild, Axel Nielsen. She is also survived by siblings, Irene Hamblin of Denver, Grace Orleans of Billings, MT, Louis Orleans of Colorado Springs, Rita Orleans of Billings, Don Orleans of Broomfield, and Dick Orleans of Pheonix.
