Bessie Scruggs

Bessie Louise Scruggs, age 58 Got Her Wings on Feb. 25, 2018. She was loving to her family, friends, and everyone around her. Her Children and grandchildren meant the most to her. Bessie was born on June 5, 1959, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Corine and Albert Scruggs Sr. She graduated in 1977 from West Division High School. She was known as a caring, loving, helpful, beautiful person and big sister. All her family loved her. -You Will Always be with us, Bessie – Bessie worked many years in the medical field as a Medical Tech and CAN (certified nurse’s assistant). She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was Baptized by Rev. Glen at Christ Presbyterian Church, where she was also a member. She was also very active in her women’s group. Her women’s group will remember her. Bessie was a loving aunt to her nephews and nieces. She enjoyed cooking, music, dancing, and playing cards. Her burritos were the bomb! Bessie is survived by her partner, Gary Carter, her two sons, Koronn Gordon and Kevin Cowser, her grandchildren, Karissa Gordon, Taeya Cowser, Dominick Diaz, and Kaiden Cowser, her grandchildren’s mother’s Heather Davis and Lanette Enriquez, her mother, Corine Scruggs, her brothers Albert and Johnathan Scruggs, her sisters Gloria and Jennifer Scruggs, her nephews, Dwayne Morrow, Virile Douglas, Justin Payne, Emmanuel Douglas, and Marvin Hopkins, her nieces Corine and Shatoyia Hopkins, her cats, Marble and Granit. A host of Cousins, Family, and Friends. Bessie was predeceased by her father, Albert Scruggs Sr. and sister Brenda F. Scruggs. -We Dearly Loved Bessie-
