Betsy Kay Southworth Cole, 71, died Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at her home in Woodford County. She was born in Georgetown, Kentucky on June 12, 1951 to the late Carlos and Anna Stone Southworth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Connie Southworth Adams and her brother Dean Southworth. She is survived by a daughter, Annette (Danny) Berger, Woodford County; son, Wayne (Rosetta) Mitchell, Irvine; brother, Robert (Bobby) Southworth, Georgetown; six grandchildren, Daniel Boston, Nicholasville; Leslie (Nick) Pennington, Versailles; Joey (Tara) Boston, Versailles; Samantha Lunger, Georgetown; Savannah Porter, Covington, and Caleb Mitchell, Irvine; and eight great-grandchildren, Jacob Boston, Ethan Smith, Madison Boston, Chloe Anna Kay Pennington, Levi Pennington, Trey Boston, Landon Boston, Cheyenne Boston; and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Georgetown, she spent the majority of her life in Midway and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Versailles. She was a former deputy jailer for 13 years at the Woodford County Detention Center. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow beginning at 12pm. Burial will follow in the Midway Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Boston, Nick Pennington, Joey Boston, Caleb Mitchell, Levi Pennington, Trey Boston, Landon Boston, and Danny Berger. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Southworth, Eva Barber, Lou Bowman, Ronnie and Terri Thompson, Dale Cole, Marshall Cole, Greg Wells, Curtis Adams, Troy Centers, and Dinzle Centers.
