Betty Alice (Biberstein) Kutsuma

December 3rd, 1931 - November 29th, 2023

Betty Alice (Biberstein) Kutsuma of Westminster, CO passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 91. She was an extraordinary woman who never met a stranger and was a compassionate and generous friend. Adopting her three children was her greatest joy, and she dedicated her life to ensuring they experienced unconditional love, security, and never wanted for anything. Bowling held a special place in her heart, and she remained an active participant until her final days. Additionally, she enjoyed fishing, leaving behind warm memories of her sporting a sunhat, and admiring her latest catch. Her joy extended to her beloved chihuahuas and all of the neighborhood’s four-legged friends. Betty adored her neighbors! The devotion, love and care they extended to her was a comfort to her children. Her church family was equally important. She enjoyed Sunday worship, her congregation, and social activities such as game night, post-church lunches, and various support groups. She was proceeded in death by her parents Minnie (McCune) and Menno Biberstein, and her four siblings. Betty is survived by her daughters Tina Kutsuma of Aurora, CO, and Tammy (Mike) Irvine of Manhattan, KS, and her son Terry Kutsuma of Fort Collins, CO. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. The viewing and church service will be held at Tri-City Baptist Church, 6953 W. 92nd Lane, Westminster, CO 80021 starting at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Interment to follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO at 2:00 pm. A celebration of life reception will be held at 6pm at Betty’s home; everyone is welcome. No Koden please. As an alternative to flowers, memorial gifts may also be made in memory of Betty Kutsuma to the Denver Dumb Friend’s League, Tri-City Baptist Church, or the Broomfield Meals on Wheels.
