Betty I. Carver
February 13th, 1931 - September 12th, 2024
Betty Irene Carver, age 93, of Parker, CO passed away on September 12, 2024. She was born on February 13, 1931, in Avoca, Iowa, the daughter of Dorothy Rose (Collins) and William Frederick Molck, Sr.
Betty grew up in Council Bluffs, IA attending Thomas Jefferson School. She enjoyed singing in the choir, acting, and sewing. She was always camera ready with a model pose and a beautiful smile. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom, raising 6 children and instilling in them the word of God and his promises. Her love for the Lord and walking in faith, is what anchored her as she was faced with raising her children as a single mother.
In 1963, she became a single parent and chose to move to Colorado with the four youngest, working full-time as a secretary during the day and at times worked nights as a waitress. She made sure we always had a roof over our heads and food on the table. She took us to church every Sunday and tucked us in with a prayer. Christmas was her happiest time of the year, and she made sure we had gifts under the tree, taught us how to pull home-made taffy, make caramel popcorn balls and garland made of popcorn and berries. She even let us put icicles on the Christmas tree, which she rearranged after we went to bed.
She met the love of her life, Jackie Carver, and married him on July 8, 1973. Their love story began when they met at Calvary Temple in Denver, CO. Jackie was an usher for the church and always made sure she had the perfect place to sit, which happened to be in his section of pew’s. They were never apart and in their mid-sixties, spent several years living in a motorhome, traveling across the country, and taking a grandchild or two along with them. They spent most of their time in Nebraska, where her 7 brothers and sisters lived. Outside of her love for her husband, children and grandchildren, the love she had for her siblings was beyond measure. They always surrounded her with laughter, love and support.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jackie; her brother, William F. Molck, Jr. and brother-in-law, Neal Snell.
She is survived by her children, Rick (Terri) Hatcher, Marvin Hatcher, Marcia (Bob) Ashbaugh, Cristy Slater, Debra Edwards and Donna (Gary) Donaldson; her grandchildren, Robby Hatcher, Tyler Hatcher, Rusty (Diana) Perry, Toni (Robert) Pak, Kelly Sayko, David (Stefanie) Romero, Jennifer Romero, Joshua (Kristal) Cedillo, Adam, (Tiffany) Cedillo, Leah, and Brianna Hatcher; great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; her siblings, Janet Elinor Snell, Paul Allen (Barbara) Molck, Gary Wayne (Sharlene) Molck, Lawrence Gilbert (Annie) Molck, Steven Dennis (Barbara) Molck, Vicki Lynn ( Fred) Christensen and William F. Molck, Jr.
The family would like to thank Lorenzo Edwards, who faithfully called her 5 days a week, made her laugh and sang to her, “You are my sunshine” as she sang along.
