Betty Castañeda, 72, of Marana, Arizona, passed away surrounded by her loved ones, on September 2, 2022. She was born to parents Roberto and Lugarda Gutierrez, on December 21, 1949, in Tucson, Arizona. Betty met Louis Escalante Castañeda in 1965. They married on April 16, 1966, in Tucson, Arizona. Together they raised six children: Luis, Cuberto, Maria, Andrea, William and Alberto. Betty is survived by her husband of 56 years Louis Castañeda; Children, Luis Castañeda, William Carter, Maria (Ben) Mosely, of Marana, AZ; Andrea (Regis) Griffin, of Pittsburgh, PA; William Castañeda; Alberto (Sierra) Castañeda, of Phoenix, AZ; Grandchildren: Kyle Griffin, Brianna Castañeda, Audra Griffin, Lamar Castañeda, Alexandria and Kirra Castañeda, Trinity, Israel, Ezra and Ezekiel Castañeda, Mother: Lugarda Gutierrez, Sister: Norma Cooper, Brother: Robert Gutierrez Jr., along with several nieces and newphews. Preceded in death by her son Cuberto Castañeda, father Roberto Gutierrez and her brother Rudy Gutierrez.
