Betty Elena Cruz
September 12th, 1939 - April 12th, 2019
Betty Elena Hidalgo de Cruz, a woman of strength and love, was a supportive mother and grandmother. Born to her beloved parents, Guillermo Eraglio Ilario Hidalgo and Visitáción Isabel Quezada de Hidalgo, on September 12, 1939 in Panama City, Panama. Known by her grandchildren as Lita, she took pride in her culture and was a devoted Catholic. She inspired her family members with wisdom that will forever be engraved in their hearts. In her lifetime, she was a talented beautician and painter. On April 12, 2019 she peacefully ascended back to her heavenly home. Her family celebrates her life knowing that her faith helped her stay strong through her last days. Her memory remains with her children Ismael Cruz Jr (Dean), Betty Rivera (Angel), Yvonne Williams (James). Her wisdom stays with her grandchildren, Arak, Zenyn, Javion, Indio, Azalia, Yanayvette. Her love will continue to flourish within her great grandchildren Fabien, Avery Mae, Grayson, Izekiel and Thomas who all were blessed with the opportunity to be loved by her. Visitation will be on held on Wednesday April 17, 2019 from 11 AM to 1 PM with the rosary prayer at noon at the Healey Mortuary Chapel, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, CA 93905.

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
