She was raised in Miami and graduated from Miami Edison High School. Betty was the loving wife of the late William Hardin. They enjoyed a long and happy marriage of 65 years, traveling and spending summers in Roaring Gap, NC. Betty was an avid golfer with 5 holes in one to her credit. She was also an accomplished seamstress and artist. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Betty is survived by her son Steven M. Hardin, daughter Pamela Helton (husband Gary) and grandchildren Katie Kilkenny (husband Bobby), Lindsey Whitfield (husband Mark), Will Helton (fiancé Andrea Ziarno), Mark Hardin, Lauren Helton, and great granddaughter Henley Whitfield.
