Betty de la Llera
June 21st, 1934 - December 10th, 2012
Betty Jo de la Llera, 78, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on December 10, 2012 in Salinas. She was born on June 21, 1934 in Connor, Arkansas. Betty Jo enjoyed bowling, boating, and golf. She was very involved iwth several business associations in Monterey County. Betty was also active with the Monterey/Salinas Christian Women's Club. She is survived by her husband, Antonio "Tony" de la Llera of Salinas daughters, Candy (Ernest) Forsberg Doylelyn (Pete) Agee sons, Darrick (Tammy) Hoskins Anthony (Sherrilyn) de la Llera, Jr. David (Dawn) de la Llera grandchildren, Sheanna Hoskins, Clancie Jo Agee, Billie Rose Agee, Doyle Thomas Hoskins David J. de la Llera numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends also survive. She is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA Salinas, CA 93905. Graveside Services will take place on Saturday, December 15, 2012 10am at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901. A Memorial Celebration of Life will follow at 11am at the North Salinas Baptist Church 381 San Juan Grade Rd. Salinas, CA 93906. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Alzheimer's Association 182 El Dorado Monterey, CA 93940.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
