Betty J. Lewis

Betty Lewis, 80, of Greeley, passed away on November 5, 2019 in Greeley, Colorado. She was born to Jake and Esther (Heardt) Miller on June 21, 1939 to Gilcrest, Colorado. She grew up and was raised in Weld County; living in Gilcrest, Eaton, Pierce, Ault and Greeley. She attended Pierce High school. Betty married her husband, Robert "Roy” Lewis on June 24, 1956 in Ault, Colorado. They were married for 62 years, until Roy passed away on March 18, 2018. Betty enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Hawaii and Mexico whenever she got the chance. She loved to play slot machines, especially penny slots. She also enjoyed camping, crocheting and ceramic work. Since the death of her husband, Roy, until her passing, Betty lived with her granddaughter, Melissa and her family, where she spoiled her granddaughters, Addison and Hannah. Betty is survived by her sons, Mike Lewis and David (Connie) Lewis; grandchildren, Duane (Aftan) Lewis, Melissa (Richie) White, Courtney Lewis, Kelsie Lewis and Connor Lewis; great grandchildren, Hannah White, Allison Lewis, Addison White, Gracyn Lewis and Maddox Lewis. She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Walter Roy and Randie Lynn Lewis; parents and 5 siblings.
