Betty Jane Liebold

Liebold, Betty, 88 of Seminole, passed away on April 26, 2018 surround by her loving family. Betty was born on March 16, 1930 in Boston, MA to the late Melbourne A. and Ruth Shorey Thompson. She enjoyed square dancing, crafting, family camping and boating, building doll houses and a spirited game of Bingo. Betty also loved flowers and animals. Betty’s now in a place where they know how to make a patty melt, and the salads are never too big! She was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church. Betty is survived by her loving children, Barbara A. (Fletcher) Warner, Cynthia M. (Blair) Shamel, Rupert J. (Christy) Liebold; sisters, Susan Lenzo, Nancy Thompson; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert F. Liebold; sister, Joan Thompson Ballou and grandson Wil Warner. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, May 14, at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 11501 66th Ave, Seminole, FL 33772. The graveside service will be held at 12:45 on Tuesday, May 15, at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard North St. Petersburg, FL 33708.
