Betty J. Tybor
September 30th, 1929 - January 17th, 2016
Betty J. Tybor, 86, of Corey Street, Amsterdam NY., passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at her home with her loving family at her bed side. Born September 30, 1929 in Amsterdam, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Leah Higgs Keyser. She was a lifelong resident and she attended local schools. Betty was employed by COLECO Industries of Amsterdam for 22 years and after she worked for the Noteworthy Company in Amsterdam. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church. Betty loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the Amsterdam High School football and basketball games and the Little Giants Football games. She loved her pets and traveling to Florida. In June 1948, she married John E. Tybor who passed away May 3, 1974. Besides her husband she is survived by her son John E. Tybor, Jr. of Amsterdam; her daughter, Terry L. Vickers (David) of Clifton Park; two sisters, Rosalie Lansing of Amsterdam and Cleo Andolina of Port Richey, FL; three granddaughters, Jennifer Lavenia of Berlin, NY, Danielle Kinowski (Kyle) of Saratoga Springs and Christina Tybor of Amsterdam; eight great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellingert Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Stanislaus Church, 73 Reid Street, Amsterdam with the Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis as celebrant. Burial will follow at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the Alzheimer's Association of NY, 4 Pine West Plaza Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205-5515 or the Community Hospice of Amsterdam, 246 Manny's Corners Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
