Betty Sanders Van Covern passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2019, surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her children Debra Holloway (and her husband Tom), Sheree Martines (and her husband Darryl), Brad Sanders (and his wife Barbra), Lynn Gordon (and her husband Doug), and Julie Van Covern. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Grayson Gordon (and his wife Blaire), Makala Gordon, and Daniel Sanders. Mrs. Van Covern was beloved by all who knew her for her kindness, compassion, her unconditional love, loyalty, and her great generosity. Mrs. Van Covern was respected for her straight-forward way of telling it like it is. She was a force of nature and left an example to live by. Inside and out, she was a beautiful person. Mrs. Van Covern was a gardener extraordinaire, an immensely talented decorator, and got great satisfaction from her volunteer work delivering meals for Friendship Trays.
