Beverly Talbert Cook

Monroe- Beverly Talbert Cook, 71, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House-Southminster. She was born February 27, 1943 in Charlotte, NC, daughter of the late Oliver Blake Talbert and Kathleen Miller Talbert. Beverly was a graduate of Garinger High School, Class of 1961 and worked for many years as an Adjustor in the insurance industry, retiring in 2011. She was a lifetime member of St. Mark"s Lutheran Church and the wife of the late Ernest Cook, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1974. She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie O"Hara and husband, Terry of Monroe, NC and Jennifer Sherwood and husband, Jason, of Davidson, NC; grandchildren, Justin O"Hara, Brandon O"Hara, Alexander Sherwood, and Ethan Sherwood; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon O"Hara and Brandi and Christopher O"Hara. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at St. Mark"s Lutheran Church, 1001 Queens Road, Charlotte with The Reverend Emily Hartner officiating.
