Beverly Elaine Kallstrom

Beverly Kallstrom Age 88 of North St. Paul MN, passed away on January 24, 2022. She was a beautiful soul, gentle yet strong, who endured many hardships in her life with grace. Positive and practical, she was a joy to all who knew her. Beverly grew up in Carney, MI, attended Carney Nadeau Schools, and graduated from Bark River-Harris School in 1951. She attended Trinity College in Deerfield, IL, and worked for the Bell System (“Ma Bell”) prior to marrying Gordon Kallstrom in 1958. She lived in Marinette, WI for 39 years, raising 3 children with Gordy and building community with her church, neighbors, and extended family. She was a mainstay member at Grace Community Church (formerly Bethel Baptist) in Marinette and an active volunteer for Lake Ellen Camp in Crystal Falls, MI. Bev worked for Sears for 25 years, weathering many changes and learning different facets of the business. She loved sewing, and created beautiful quilts over the decades. Her family nicknamed her “the energizer bunny” for her tendency to juggle multiple projects, from raising vegetables to refinishing furniture, canning, baking, and keeping in touch with friends and family. Bev was a woman of faith, a humble spirit, and a lifelong disciple of Christ. She is now in Glory, singing praises to God. Preceded in death by parents, John and Violet Ray; siblings, Robert Ray, Marjorie Grau, Marvin Ray, Kenneth Ray, and Clarence Ray; husband, Gordon Kallstrom; son, Daniel Kallstrom; and daughter, Ruth Ann Kallstrom. Survived by daughter, Cindy Kallstrom; son-in-law, William Merrill; grandsons, Jeffrey Merrill and Peter Merrill. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Upper and Lower Michigan, Chicago area, Iowa, and Milwaukee area. Memorial Service on May 14, 2022 at 11am at North Haven Church (2240 - 15th Avenue E., North St. Paul, MN 55109) with visitation from 10-11am. Visitation on May 27, 2022 from 7-8:30pm at Grace Community Church (3200 Mary Street, Marinette, WI 54143). Visitation on May 28, 2022 from 10-11:15am at Carney Free Church (52 Church Street, Carney, MI 49812). Burial at 11:30am at Carney Church Cemetery.
