Beverly Jean Knapp

Mrs. Beverly Jean Knapp, age 85 a resident of Lakeland, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Tennessee. Mrs. Knapp was born January 6, 1938 in Monroe, Michigan to Marshall Charles and Doris Arlene (Scheid) Knapp. She was a Polk County resident since 1970 coming from Ida, Michigan. Bev was a retired Bookkeeper for the family Land Development Company and in earlier years worked in the office for the Ida, Michigan School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Auburndale where she was also a member of the Choir, Friendship Circle and the Methodist Women’s. She was a member of the Schalmar Singers Group. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, camping and loved to spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years – Merlyn Knapp, brother – Larry William Knapp and daughter in law – Debra Knapp. Beverly is survived by her loving & devoted family, 3 sons – Jeffrey (Tina) Dentel of Auburndale, FL., Gerald (Sue) Knapp of Land O Lakes, FL. and Marvin Knapp of Auburndale, FL.; daughter – Karen (James) Wilcox of Cleveland, OH.; brother – Verle Knapp of Ida, MI.; 10 grandchildren – Jeremy, Jonathan (Tehra), Brian (Annette), Tracy, Jessica, Kevin (Courtney), Joshua (Jill), Megan (Charlie), Ryan (Stephanie) and Casey (Zach); 15 great grandchildren – Cooper, Colen, Nolan, Rowan, Kendal, Marley, Grady, Crawford, Fielder, Clara, Emory, Emma, Max, Cameron & Dax. Funeral services will be 10am Saturday, November 11th at the First United Methodist Church, 316 Lake Ariana Blvd., Auburndale with visitation beginning at 9am at the church. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
