Beverly "Bayla Hudi" Edith Smith

Beverly Edith Smith, age 77 of Las Vegas, passed away on December 14th surrounded by her loved ones. Beverly was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 13, 1938. Beverly moved with her family to Las Vegas in 1994. Nothing in life was more important to her than her family. She was a loving, generous, wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother, and cancer survivor. She and her husband Herbert just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on December 12th. Beverly and Herbert have three children; daughter Sheryl and her husband Daniel, son Jeffrey and his wife Santa, and daughter Debra and her husband Barney. They also have four grandchildren; Rachel, Joshua, Zachary and Hannah. Beverly will also be missed very much by her sister Sharon Chaiken of Las Vegas. Beverly was a retired bookkeeper who loved travel, cruising, theatre, entertainment, dining out, water walking, mahjong, canasta, and reading. She will forever be loved and missed by everyone who knew her. Donations can be made in her memory to Susan G. Komen or the Alzheimer's Association. Services were held on December 16th at Kraft Sussman Funeral Services and interment was on December 17th at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
