Bill Osborne
August 22nd, 1936 - April 10th, 2016
Billy Mack (Bill) Osborne, 79, of Weber City, went to be with the Lord (Sunday April 10th, 2016) at his residence after a series of health problems. The good Lord felt like he had endured enough and took him home to be with Him. Born on August 22nd, 1936, Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Mary Beard Osborne and a brother, Jimmy Osborne. Bill was a graduate of Culpeper High School and attended ETSU. Bill has been owner/ operator of Star Equipment since 1969 and was a member of Valley of Hope Church. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 49 Years, Dorothy Slagle Osborne; sons, Jeffrey Osborne and Cameron Osborne; brothers-in-law, Earl Slagle and Steve Slagle; sister in law, Celia Osborne; several cousins; and a host of friends and neighbors and his best friend, Wiggles. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7pm Wednesday (April 13th, 2016) at Scott County Funeral Home. A service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Odell Beauchamp officiating. Music will be provided by Don and Wilma Brooks and Debra Beauchamp. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am Thursday (April 14th, 2016) at Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Billips, Johnny Brickey Jr, Larry Cruby, Danny Gillenwater, David Hartgrove, and Wayne Sutherland. Those who plan to attend the graveside are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 to follow in procession. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, in memory of Bill.
