Billie Ray Harper
June 24th, 1957 - January 13th, 2021
Billie Ray Harper age 63 of Minneapolis passed away on January 13, 2021. He was born June 24, 1957 to the late Reverend Arthur Harper and Carlotta Bennett Harper. Early in his life he was introduced to Christ by his parents. He enjoyed singing karaoke, dressing to impress, card and board games, making jokes, and watching movies. In addition to his parents, Billie Ray is also preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Harper and his brother, Arthur Lee Harper. He leaves to mourn his children, Adrian Ray Stockman, Derrick Jermaine Harper, Nathan Walker, Zaniyah Thomas; four stepdaughters; siblings, Willie E (Patricia) Harper of Alabama, Carlotta (Jeff) Sullivan, Elaine Harper, Charlotte (Anthony) Kidd, and George (Sharon) Harper all of St. Paul MN; his significant other, Billie Jean Bilbro of Saint Paul, MN; also a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13th at the Spielman Mortuary, 344 W. University Ave., St. Paul. A private family memorial service will be live streamed on ZOOM starting at 2:00 p.m. (Meeting ID: 707 361 1692 / Passcode: 671246). In accordance with Minnesota Health Department regulations, we can accommodate a maximum of 45 people in the mortuary at any given time. Please be respectful and limit your time in the mortuary if it appears to be getting crowded. Also, in accordance with Minnesota Health Department regulations, you are required to wear a face covering to enter the mortuary and also while inside the building. **PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE MORTUARY. THIS IS NOT OUR LOT, THE OWNERS OF THE LOT WILL HAVE YOUR CAR TOWED AT YOUR EXPENSE. Spielman Mortuary has been helping Saint Paul families since 1950 when Kenneth and Helen Spielman purchased the National Funeral Home. For over 30 years, the couple lived above the funeral home and took just one vacation. They sold the home in 1984 to the Willwerscheid family.
