Billie J. Martens

Billie J. Martens, 82, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at Hospice House in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Martens was born June 18, 1931 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Adolph and Trella (nee Ratliff) Smith and moved to this area 4 years ago from there. She worked as a teller in the banking industry and was of Protestant faith. Mrs. Martens is survived by her sons, Craig A. Martens of Tacoma, WA and Curtis W. (Barri L.) Martens of Wichita, KS; her significant other, Jerry Patrick of Port Charlotte; and brother, Charles Smith. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Smith, Ernest J. Smith, and Leonard Smith and sisters Jessie Bosino and Thelma Batten. No services will be held at this time.
