Billie Jo Sliva

Mrs. Billie Jo Sliva, 93, of Amsterdam, passed away on her birthday Friday March 30, 2012 at the E.L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam, NY on March 30, 1919 a daughter of the late Arthur and Katherine Knapp Filbeck. She was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. Mrs. Sliva was a professional photographer along with her late husband and owned and operated Sliva Photography Studio in Amsterdam. She married Alexander J. Sliva who passed away in 1971. Survivors include her beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. A Private graveside funeral service was held on Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery.
