BILLY HOWARD BARNETT Mount Carmel- Billy Barnett, 61, of Mount Carmel, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (February 17, 2018) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of this area. Billy was a hard working carpenter and had worked with Cedar Log Homes of Northeast TN for several years. He was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Deborah Barnett; his father, Arthur H. Barnett. Billy Barnett is survived by his son, Brennon Barnett and girlfriend, Tiffany; a step daughter, Angie Nelson; his mother, Ruby Barnett; a brother, Larry Barnett; sister, Sylvia Sams; his best friend, Lee Marshall along with several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday (February 22, 2018) from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Scott County Funeral Home or friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday (February 22, 2018) at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Blessing, officiating. A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with Larry Barnett, Jr., Daniel Barnett, David Fandl, Lee Marshall, Jeff Darnell, and Roger Whitaker serving as pallbearers.
