Billy Albert Cuzick
January 30th, 1947 - September 14th, 2011
Billy Albert Cuzick Services will be announced in the Spring of 2012 for Billy Cuzick who passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 14, 2011. He was 64 years old. Born in Texas, he has lived in the Santa Cruz area for the past 15 years. Born to Weilelblat and Betty Cuzick, he was raised in Texas and lived in Japan, Nevada, Arizona, and California. He served his country in the US Navy during Vietnam, and later worked as a fire fighter, general contractor, paramedic, and motorcycle mechanic. While serving in Vietnam, he realized that war was not worth one life. Billy studied extensively, reading books on spirituality, and conscious awareness. He meditated on a daily basis, and although he was raised Lutheran, he didn't believe in being a part of any formal religion. He did believe in "The Oneness of All"; spending most of his time with family, friends, his wife Lisa, and their cat Luna. More and more, Billy was in awe of nature, and loved being at the ocean. He also spent a lot of time with his son Matt Cuzick, building custom motorcycles from the ground up. He enjoyed up unto his final days, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles which he learned to do at a very early age. He lived each day as a gift, with a chance to live life to its fullest. He is survived by his spouse, Lisa Cuzick, his sons, Matt Cuzick, Gabe Cuzick, Christian Cuzick, Aaron Cuzick, James Collins, Timothy Collins; his sister, Patricia Armijo, and his brother, David Cuzick. He also leaves his 10 grandchildren, two nieces and three nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his son, Robert Cuzick, his nephew, Christopher Covert, his daughter in-law, Tasha Collins, and his two friends, Nick Baumgartner and Tom Zenick. A remembrance for Billy Cuzick will held in the springtime for his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank (800 Ohlone Parkway, Watsonville, CA. 95076).
