July 27th, 1942 - December 8th, 2015
Reuben S. Patterson Sr. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother, and Uncle. Age 73, of Saint Paul passed away on December 8th, 2015. Survived by his wife, Cynthia; children, Jackie, Margaret, Reuben, Jr., Judy, Paula, Tamar, and Sarah (Kirk) Patterson-Gardener; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Ileen Reid, Mercle Virgo, Elese Brown-Jenkins, Beverley Brown; brother, Balford Virgo; also survived by a host of relatives and friends. Funeral Service Saturday, December 19th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spielman Mortuary, 344 W. University Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55103. Interment Oakland Cemetery, Saint Paul, Minnesota. Visitation one hour prior to service on Saturday (10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.).

Spielman Mortuary has been helping Saint Paul families since 1950 when Kenneth and Helen Spielman purchased the National Funeral Home. For over 30 years, the couple lived above the funeral home and took just one vacation. They sold the home in 1984 to the Willwerscheid family. We still operate Spielman Mortuary with the same traditions of pride, sensitivity, value, and attention to detail that the Spielmans followed for over three decades....
