Ellis, Blanche H., 95, of St. Petersburg, died Friday, December 15, at home. A native of Carbondale, Illinois, she moved here sixteen years ago from there. She retired after 40 plus years from the Jackson County Schools in Carbondale where she was an elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Union Hill Christian Church and the Southern Illinois Retired Teacher?s Association both in Carbondale. Locally, she attended First United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg. She was an avid arts and crafts lover. Survivors include two daughters; Wilma D. George of St. Petersburg and Arlena Collier of Plant City: one sister: Marie Grammer of Metropolis, IL: three granddaughters; Lynne Clemens of Summerfield, NC, Anita Belt of Whiteman AFB, Missouri, and Kathi Dee Lee of Riverview, FL: 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes and Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth St. Chapel.
