Bobbie Jane Clemons

Bobbie Jane Clemons, 64 of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN "Happy 65th Birthday to a loving wife, mother and grandmother She was born on September 6, 1948 in Baltimore, MD and resided in Kingsport most of her life. She was a member of Charity Chapel Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary Elizabeth Hensley; her children, Virginia Gibson, Wayne Gibson and Karen Knapp; two grandchildren, Courtney Hawkins and Joshua Bentley; four brothers and one sister. Survivors include her loving husband, Robert (Bob) Clemons of the home; four daughters, Bobbie Hayes & husband Jim of Kingsport, Norma Belcher & husband Chris of Surgoinsville, Lisa McClellan & husband, Scott of Mississippi and Teresa Sumner & husband Danny of Kingsport; her son, Rob Clemons & wife Donna of Kingsport, 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; twin brother, Bobby Hensley & wife Judy of Maryland; half brother, Frank Elliott Hensley of Maryland; four sisters, Barbara Ann Cross of Kingsport, Mary Lou Turner, Diane Smallwood and Janet Hensley all of Maryland; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mike Owens officiating. Music will be provided by Charity Chapel Singers. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport. Pallbearers will be Jessica Sexton, Virginia Sapp, Levi Belcher, Chris Belcher, Robbie Clemons, and Eli Wood. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jameson Hayes and Dennis Clemons. The family would like to extend special thanks to her sister, Barbara Ann Cross.
