Bobby Craig Clanton
March 26th, 1943 - July 6th, 2019
Bobby C. Clanton of Cocoa, Florida passed away July 6, 2019 at 76 years old. He passed away peacefully with his wife Dorothy and children surrounding him. Bobby was born in Lincolnton, NC on March 26, 1943. Bobby moved to Florida in 1956. Bobby met his wife the summer of 1957. They dated for 5 ½ years and were high school sweethearts. They were married for 56 years. Bobby was a fine Christian man who loved the Lord. He served many years as a deacon and he also was a licensed preacher in North Carolina. He loved his church and had many friends. He loved cars and especially loved Dale Earnhardt. He loved baseball and watching his grandsons play. Especially when David, his son, and grandson, Kevin won the 2012 Jr. Little League World Series. Also loved watching his granddaughter Jessica play soccer and volleyball in high school. He was our family patriarch especially giving answers for automobile questions and home repairs. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditionally. Bobby was strong and proud and a good man. He will be missed by many. Bobby is survived by his loving wife Dorothy, children Charles Clanton, Crystal spouse Mark Stewart, and David spouse Jennifer Clanton. His grandchildren Amanda spouse Nick Avila, Daniel spouse Samantha Clanton, Brandy Mulligan, Sierra spouse John Fowler, Kevin Clanton, Jessica Clanton, Camden Clanton, Kevin Stewart, Josh spouse Kelsey Stewart, Crystal spouse Sven Bell, Mackenzie Ross, and Haylie Ross. His Great-Grandchildren Charlotte Clanton, Trinity Avila, Reed Stewart, Lauren Cranford, and Jasmine Bell. He is also survived by a host of other family member who loved Bobby. Bobby loved me, his wife, unconditionally. He was a great father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bobby told me I would be alright. He knew God would take care of me. We always said we would love to go in the rapture together. I guess God decided he wanted Bobby sooner. Join us in a celebration of life on July 9th between 5-7PM at Beckman & Williamson Funeral Home at 5400 Village Dr. in Rockledge, FL. The funeral is July 10th at 1PM at Bethel Baptist Church at 1950 Michigan Ave. in Cocoa, FL.
