Bobby Earl Rhodus, Sr

Ladson- Bobby Earl Rhodus, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. He was born in Camden, SC on October 17, 1936. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 888 Central Ave Summerville. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until the service. Graveside service will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 20 years. After retiring from the military, he owned several businesses in the Charleston area. Bobby was a member of Cornerstone Baptist and served as a deacon for many years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandaddy and great grandaddy. He was a generous and faithful servant of the Lord. Survivors include his daughter, Robin Mayes of Ladson, two sons, Bobby E. Rhodus, Jr. (Sara) of Goose Creek and Brian Scott Rhodus (Colleen) of St. George; sister; Earline Hilstrom loving grandchildren, Trae Roberts, III, Cayce Brainard, Jessica Pye, Elaina Mayes, Morgan Rhodus, Chase Rhodus, Ace Rhodus, Ryan Rhodus, Peyton Rhodus, Grace Rhodus, and Brett Rhodus. He was preceded in death by his wives, Sybil Rhodus and Shelia Rhodus; daughter, Teresa Brainard; broher, Gene Rhodus; grandson, William Martin, II; and granddaughter, Katie Pye. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church.
