Bobby Wooten
March 20th, 1940 - June 1st, 2024
Bobby Wooten, 84, passed away on June 1, 2024 with his beloved family at his bedside. A graveside service will be held at Parkway Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Justin Wright officiating. The friends can greet the family at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Wednesday, June 5, 2024 between the hours of 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM.
Bobby was born in Douglas, Georgia to the late William Mack Wooten, Jr. and Maggie Lee Wooten. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Oma Jean Minchew Wooten; son: John Jones; granddaughter: Rachael Jones, and sibilings: John Daniel Wooten, Dorothy Wooten, Billy Wooten, and Hazel Wooten.
Bobby dedicated his life to serving his country, community, and family. At a young age, Bobby enlisted into the United States Air Force. He served his country faithfully for over 28 years. After the military, Bobby continued to serve his community by working for the United States Postal Service for several years before retiring again. He took great pride in his work ethic; enjoyed watching old western movies, reading books, traveling with his wife in their camper, and most importantly, Bobby cherished the memories he made with his beloved family. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bobby is survived by his children: Allen Jones (Lourie), Bobby L. Wooten (Deanna), Candy Clements (James), and Michael A. Wooten (Candace); grandchildren: Amber Stilwell (Michael), Matthew Jones (Tiffany), Micaela Wooten, Dusty Clements (Amber), Clay Clements (Bridgette) Browyn Ogan (Trey), Jordan Clements (Emily), John Thomas Jones, Luna Wooten, Yleana Wooten, Haley Jones, Caden Wooten, and Hannah Jones; 17 great grandchildren, daughter -in-law, Misty Jones; sister, Jackie Wooten, and a host of extended friends and family.
