Bonnie "Endecott" C. LaVaughn Tish
December 12th, 1931 - October 30th, 2015
“Bonnie” C. LaVaughn Tish, 83, of Woodland, Washington and formerly of Caldwell, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2015. Bonnie was the oldest daughter of Clarence and Lora Snell Endecott. She was born and grew up in Middleton, graduating from high school there. Bonnie then attended Bible College in San Antonio, Texas. She married fellow classmate, Lloyd Tish in 1952, at which time the couple returned to San Antonio, completing college in 1953. Subsequently, Bonnie and Lloyd moved back to Caldwell where their first daughter, Naomi was born in 1954. They had a goal of becoming missionaries to Japan and fulfilled their call, leaving for that mission field in the spring of 1955. While in Japan, their second daughter, Shari was born in 1956. Their term of service ended, and they returned to the U.S. in 1959. In the following year, the Lord blessed them with a third daughter, Loretta. Bonnie began working for an insurance company after Loretta started school and continued doing so for the better part of two decades. Following many years of service in the Treasure Valley, Bonnie and Lloyd returned to Japan in 1971, but the loss of both fathers in 1972 brought about a permanent return to the U.S. While residing in Caldwell, the family actively participated in church as well as Nampa Christian Schools, from which all three daughters graduated. After the Lord brought her through an extended fight with breast cancer, she became a volunteer for the American Cancer Society for a number of years. She subsequently volunteered for Lifeline Pregnancy Care Center and worked for the Canyon County Office on Aging. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and husband. She is survived by her daughters: Naomi (Art) Rathje, Shari (Steve) Barrett and Loretta (Steven) Myers; her grandchildren: Jason (Liz) Barrett, Jeff (Nili) Barrett, Ashley Myers, and Olivia Myers and four great-granddaughters. Due to Bonnie’s poor health at the time of Lloyd’s passing, the family postponed his memorial service. Thus, a joint Memorial Service for Lloyd and Bonnie is scheduled for 1:30 PM, Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd, Caldwell, Idaho 83605. For a short time in 2014 and for the last few months of her life, Bonnie was attended to by the devoted staff of the Woodland Care Center in Woodland, WA. She flourished under their genuine friendship and love. Therefore, the family asks that memorials be sent to: WCC Employee Care Club, P.O. Box 69, Woodland, Washington 98674.
