Bonita (Bonnie) Mae Witt (White) April 30, 1940-May 5, 2015 Bonnie was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on April 30, 1940, but was raised in Florence, Wisconsin with her older sister and three younger brothers. She was one of five children growing up in a modest but stable and loving family. As a 1958 graduate of Florence high school, she participated in numerous activities including majorettes and cheerleading. In July of 1964, Bonnie married Thomas Witt of Kingsford MI. They welcomed one son and two daughters into their family. They moved their family from Kingsford to Kentucky and Arizona before returning to the Wisconsin/Upper Michigan area. After her children graduated high school, Bonnie relocated to Denver, Co., where her son was already living. She was later joined in the Denver area by her daughter Andrea and her two children (granddaughters). Bonnie enjoyed various activities with her children, grandchildren, and eventually great grandchildren, including skiing, ATV riding, swimming, hiking in the Lair of the Bear area, camping, kite flying, and playing various sports such as tennis, basketball, etc. Bonnie was a loving and devoted mother. She was very close with her siblings as well and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a kind, gentle person who also had a great love for animals. Bonnie’s friendly and outgoing personality served her well in a handful of jobs including: a service representative for United Airlines, a travel agent, and a customer service representative for Federal Express. Whatever position she occupied, she brought with her a strong work ethic and was always well-liked and a highly valued employee. It was through her devotion to work that Bonnie met some of her closest friends. After retiring from Federal Express, Bonnie enjoyed doing volunteer work with the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents George and Lillian White, brothers Robert and Gerald, sister-in-law Jackie (Tennerman) White, and recently by her brother-in-law Robert Johnson and sister, Georgean (White) Johnson. Bonnie will be greatly missed by her brother Daryl (Diane) White of Niagara WI, her three children, Robert (Karen) Witt of Westminster CO, Teri (Bob) Wallace of San Bernardino CA and Andrea Witt of Aurora CO. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and former husband Thomas (Sherry) Witt of Riverside CA, sister-in–law Patricia Hyland of Kingsford and sister-in-law Janelle White of Florence.
