Boyd T. Johns

Boyd T. Johns, age 78, passed away peacefully in Lynnwood, Washington on Thursday, 3 October 2013. Boyd was born January 30, 1935, in Blackfoot, Idaho. He lived in American Falls, Idaho, before retiring to Lynnwood, Washington. He worked at Massey Ferguson Tractor in American Falls until retirement in 1991. Survivors include three daughters Karin Johns, Tammy McArthur and Dena Meyers, and a son Brian. Boyd is also survived by his pride and joy, seven grandchildren; Megan, Kaitlyn, Justin, Nate, Travis, Breanna and Brandon. His surviving brothers and sister are Derrold (Butch) Johns, DuWayne Johns, LaRie McClure, Jean Munn, Sonja OKesson and DeLora DeLong. He is preceded in death by his Mother Cora Egbert, Father Ted, Step-Mother Anona, brother LeMar and sister Shirley. Boyd graduated from American Falls High School in 1954. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War. He married Jean Baird in 1958. Boyd was most happy when he was with his grandchildren, but also loved fishing streams and rivers. He had his favorite fishing holes in many streams and rivers to include the East Fork (Rockland, Idaho), Snake River in American Falls, Idaho, the Thompson River, Montana and the North Fork of the Salmon River, Idaho. He had true green thumb and loved the time he spent in his garden.
