Brad Wegscheider

September 29th, 1958 - August 21st, 2024

With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Brad Wegscheider, who left us on August 21st, 2024 at the age of 65.

Brad was not just a father, husband, brother and friend; he was a beacon of laughter, friendship, leadership, hard work and joy in the lives of everyone he met. His humor was legendary—he had a unique gift for turning the mundane into the extraordinary with just a witty remark or a perfectly timed joke. Whether it was through his playful pranks or his endless supply of puns, Brad had an uncanny ability to brighten even the gloomiest days with a story.

Born in Wichita, Kansas on September 29th, 1958, to parents Marge and Chuck Wegscheider, Brad grew up with a zest for life that never waned. He grew up in Northglenn, Colorado. He spent most of his life in the car business, but it was his impact on people’s lives through his humor and kindness that truly defined his legacy.

Brad is preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Marge Wegscheider. He is survived by his wife Kathi Wegscheider, daughter Brandy Kapustensky (and husband Andrew), son Brent Wegscheider (and wife Christina), grandchildren Ty (son of Brent and Christina) and Berkley (daughter of Brandy and Andrew), and brother Scott Wegscheider and nephew Chad, as well as many other family and friends, all of whom will remember him for his kindness, humor, and his ability to find joy in every moment. He never missed a chance to celebrate anything with his family and friends.

In his memory, we ask that you carry forward his legacy of laughter and love. His life was a testament to the power of humor and the importance of family, and we find solace in knowing that his spirit will continue to inspire us.

I realize there are many heavy hearts, and Rick's as well as mine are also hurting. Our condolences our sent to his entire family at this time. Our love, thoughts and prayers are sent to all. I, Beverly Popanda worked with Brad at Auto Aves. He was basically my boss, well one of them. I was just the front desk receptionist, which a lot of people told me I was more than "just" the receptionist, I loved my job, I tried. So I was right by Brad's office. I worked with him for four years, and know that he was not only a great boss but Rick and I considered him our friend, and not just in the car business, but a friend. A wonderful man, yes, but we really didn't know him away from the car business, BUT what we do know is that he was loved by all. So it is with heavy hearts we are truly sorry for his loss!
