ULRICH, BRADEN TODD, 43 of St. Petersburg, FL died at his family home on Friday, January 5, 2018. Born on February 15, 1974 and a native of St. Petersburg, he attended Shorecrest Preparatory School from K-12 and graduated with honors in the class of 1992. Throughout his life, he excelled academically and in sports. Braden received many awards including League Football MVP, Varsity Golf MVP, Varsity Football MVP and Quarterback Club Outstanding Senior Player Award. He graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Management from the University of Florida and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Upon graduation, he moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina to pursue a career in golf. There he became a Licensed Teaching Professional through PGA of America and played Professional Golf on the Golden Bear, Tear Drop, Hooters and Nationwide tours. Upon his return to St. Petersburg, he became a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual and the John R. Stoner Organization. His memberships included St. Petersburg Country Club, Quarterback Club of St. Petersburg, University Club, Polywogs Golf Organization, Shorecrest Alumni Association and First United Methodist Church. Braden had a passion and great love for God, his family and dogs, golf, music, playing guitar, Gator Football, Rays baseball, fishing, hunting, nature and his many, many dear friends. Like his Dad, Braden was kind, gentle, genuine and pure of heart. We will forever be inspired by their ability to see the world through the untainted lens that they did. Braden was predeceased by his grandparents, Max and Esther Ulrich, Harold and Mildred Meehan and by his loving Father, Richard Guy Ulrich. He is survived by his mother, Shawn M. Ulrich; his sister, Melanie Ulrich Burns (Curtis); his brothers Richard K. Ulrich, Christopher K. (Cydney) Ulrich and James M. Ulrich; his niece, Julia Ulrich and nephews Christopher, Benjamin, Jonathan and David Ulrich; his uncles and aunts, Robert L. and Barbara Ulrich, David K. and Lisa Meehan, and Michael P. and Desiree Meehan; and many beloved first, second and third generation cousins. His Celebration of Life and Interment Services were conducted by Dr. Gil Smith where he was privately honored by his loving family. Memorials may be made to Polywogs Charities Inc. for the benefit of local children's charities. Attn: Andy Williams Freedom Bank 1200 4th Street N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. His favorite scripture was profound in that it encompassed his life on earth and the knowledge that he would rest forever in the hollow of God's hand: "For I am already being poured out like a drink offering and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:6-8.
