April 20, 1957 – September 10, 2021 Royal Oaks, California Family and friends will gather on Saturday to say farewell to a loving husband, father, and devoted friend, Bradford Craig who passed away of sudden and unexpected cardiac arrest. Brad was born in Orange, New Jersey, he was 64 years old. Brad moved with his family to California as a teenager. He graduated from Henry M. Gunn High School in 1975, attended Foothill Jr. College, and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, from Chico State University in 1983. At the time of his passing, he was employed with Specialized Bicycle Components as a Senior Machinist/Fabricator. Brad had a career in mechanical engineering that spanned over 38 years. He worked in the bicycle industry for most of his career. He also spent 13 years working in the medical device industry. He leaves many dear friends, colleagues, and fellow bicyclists who are now benefactors of the knowledge, and dedication he shared with so many. Brad was an avid cyclist and loved to explore the natural world. He loved to garden, camp, backpack, and swim in the ocean. He was a very kind and patient man who enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others and served as a mentor to many. He was always first to volunteer to help others. If Brad couldn’t fix something, no one could. All who know Brad, know that he was brilliant, loving, caring, and compassionate. He was an excellent son, brother, husband, father, friend and coworker. He was always curious and interested to learn new things. He was fun-loving and brought humor and light to everyone. He is survived by his beloved wife Denise Phipps-Craig; his mother, Linda Craig; his children Chestina and William Craig; his brothers Jonathan (Linda) and Parker Craig; and his sister Barbara Craig, along with many loving extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father William Craig. Friends are welcome to visit with his family and view some meaningful artifacts from Brad’s life at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel on Saturday September 25, 2021 beginning at 12 noon and continuing until 2 p.m. There will be a time to share personal memories and stories at the chapel starting at 2 p.m. Please visit the Benito and Azzaro homepage to leave your condolences or reflections with his family.
