Bradley C. Vrooman, 71, of Stoodley Place, Rotterdam, NY formerly of Fonda, NY passed away Saturday April 21, 2007 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady following a short illness. He was born in Fonda, NY on April 6, 1936 a son of Harold S. and Marion Bradley Vrooman both deceased. He was a 1953 Graduate of Fonda High School. He was employed for over 35 years as an Actuary for the New York State Teachers Retirement System in Albany, NY. Mr. Vrooman was a good hearted person who gave to many charities and persons who were in need. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith. He is survived by, Alan Bursor Kristina of Rotterdam, NY of who Bradley treated like a son. Two brothers, Joseph M. Vrooman of Connecticut and Harold S. Vrooman of Long Island, NY. One sister, Mary C. Rose of Tribes Hill, NY. Two grandchildren, Angelo Clairmont and Julianna Bursor. A special niece and nephew , Malia Vrooman-Horstman Christian and Harold S. Vrooman Laurie. Special great niece and nephew, Kyle Horstman and Katerina Horstman. Other nieces and nephews also survive. He was pre-deceased by sisters, Bertha White, Ellen Lavery and brother, Jan Paul. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 24, 2007 at 11:00A.M. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY with Father Pascal Iannotti presiding. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats, Fonda, NY. Calling hours are Monday April 23, 2007 from 4-7:00P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St. Schenectady, NY 12308 or to a charity of one?s choice.
