Brandon David Salley
February 18th, 1984 - March 15th, 2019
Brandon David Salley, 35, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, March 15, 2019. Born in Kingsport, TN on February 18, 1984, he grew up in Gray, TN and graduated in 2003 from Daniel Boone High School. He later lived in Jonesboro, Chuckey, and Johnson City, and for the past 5 months had been residing in Pennville, IN. He was employed by Wal-Mart since 2002 at stores in Colonial Heights, Bristol, Johnson City, Greeneville and most recently in New Castle, IN where he was assistant store manager. Brandon enjoyed being outdoors and had a yard-mowing business for several years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar, boating, and jet skiing. He was a member of Fairview Methodist Church in Jonesborough, TN and most recently attended Union Chapel in Bryant, IN. Brandon was a loving father, son, nephew, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clarence D. (“John”) and Helen Carter Noe; and his paternal grandparents, Charlie M. and Thelma J. Salley. Brandon is survived by his parents, Carlos G. and Donna Noe Salley; his daughter, Kora Ann Salley; aunts and uncles, Linda Noe, Karen and Dennis Rutledge, and Leanne and Jimmy Larkin; great-aunt Joyce Cradic; several cousins; fiance’, Monica Glaze; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Gerhardt and Pastor Michael Morgan officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Mount Carmel with Frankie Kiser, Mike Harris, Tanner Harris, Chris Long, Zach Williams, and Doug Glaze serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Larkin, Dennis Rutledge, and David Bland. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a family member for the care of his daughter, Kora Ann Salley. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Salley family.
