Brenda Ann Barker

Brenda Ann Barker, 66 years old, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 after a battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed, but warmly welcomed by all her family, friends, and her “little doggies” who preceded her to heaven. Brenda was born on August 18th, 1955, in Garden City, Kansas to Harold H. Barker and Patricia A. Barker (Lundblade). Brenda was the 2nd youngest of 8 children. Brenda was a very strong-willed and independent woman who enjoyed living life on her terms. She loved spending time with her closest friends (especially Toni), making frequent trips to Walmart on her scooter, and crocheting projects either for sale or giveaway. Brenda had an avid love for dogs, and always had one or more little Chihuahua mixes at her side throughout her life. She was a very loving woman, always with a strong opinion, and a natural way to make you laugh and smile. Brenda is survived by her sister, Dorothy Huff (Garden City, KS.), sister, Wanda Jones (Alton, IL.), brother, Terry Barker (Rio Rancho, NM.), and brother, Keith Barker (Blue Springs, MO.) Brenda was greeted in heaven by her father, Harold, mother, Patricia, sister, Sandy Smith, brother, Gary Barker, brother, Dean Barker, and her long-time companion, Candy Diaz.
