Brenda Joyce Bellamy

Brenda Jannow Bellamy, 74 of Gate City, VA passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 12, 2017 at Wellmont Health System in Kingsport, TN. after a brief illness. She retired from Scott County Department of Social Services after 26 years of service. She was born February 22, 1943 to the late James Jannow and Margaret Jannow Maiden. Brenda is survived by her daughter Kelle G Bellamy, her granddog Molly Lucille Bellamy, and"adopted" daughter Tracy Jones, her sister Dallas Bailey along with several special nieces and nephews and a host of friends to cherish her memory. The family will receive friends Friday, December 15th, 2017 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Carter-Trent/ Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City, VA. Family and friends will meet Saturday, December 16th, 2017 at 12:30 PM at Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home for a Graveside Service at 1:00 pm at Holston View Cemetery, with Pastor Gordon McBride of Gate City United Methodist Church officiating. Pallbearers will be Randy Compton, Dane and Jesse McClellan, Joie Kerns, Josh Haynie, Brian Matlock, Bobby Quillen, Larry Quillen. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Rogers, Eddie Richmond, Paul & Kathy McDowell In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gate City United Methodist Church, Shriners Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
