Brenda Hunter

Brenda Nadine Hunter, 60, of Greeley, passed away on 9-17-2021 in Loveland after a long battle with cancer. Brenda was born in Troy, Ohio to John & Delores Hickman on 12-21-1960. The family moved to Greeley when Brenda was a child. Brenda attended Greeley schools, graduating from Greeley Central High School. After graduation she attended Aims Community College and obtained her certification as a X-ray technician. As the medical field improved so did Brenda. When the opportunity arose, she went back to school to further her career and became a CAT Scan technician. She dedicated much of her life to her career, working for North Colorado Medical Center for almost 40 years before transferring to UC Health where she retired. Brenda did not only make a huge impact on the patients she provided care for but her co-workers and everyone she came in contact with. She was known for her beautiful smile and infectious positive attitude. Brenda enjoyed spending time with her children and played an active role in the upbringing of her grandchildren whom she loved deeply. They brought her great joy and smiles on her toughest days. Her favorite seasons were Spring and Summer as she enjoyed warm weather and taking long walks. You could often find her sunbathing on the porch with a good book or working outside on her flowers. She took pride in her beautiful flowers. Her newest love was the family dog, Dasha. Dasha played a huge role in her recovery after her surgeries and day to day living. They were the best of friends. Brenda is survived by her sister Deb Coleman of Greeley. Daughters; Brianne Hunter of Fairplay and Amanda Hunter of Greeley. Son Seth Hunter of Greeley, Step-son Chris Hunter of Independence, Iowa. Six grandchildren and many grand animals. Niece Jeanette Kauffman and nephews; John Coleman and Nick Dinkel. She was preceded in death by her mother Delores Hickman, Father John Hickman, and her Brother Greg Hickman. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 16th at the DoubleTree Hotel 919 7th St. Greeley. Between 1-4pm, a lunch buffet will be served at 2pm.
