Brenda Jean Mayberry

Brenda Jean Mayberry was born to Joe and Jacklyn Mayberry on August 12, 1950, in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Brenda was raised in Sioux City and Des Moines, Iowa and was the third born of eight children. Brenda’s family moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1962. She attended Mechanic Arts and Washington High Schools. Brenda worked for many years at Minnesota Federation of Teachers. She was later employed at the regional office of AFL-CIO as an Officer Manager. Then became a SUPERMOM while maintaining her full time job and part time jobs such as a bartender at the Legion and Accountant for National Security. Brenda worked very hard in life and cherished her daughter Monica and son Theodore. On Thursday, January 7, 2016 the Lord called Brenda home. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Joe Mayberry; mother, Jacklyn Mayberry; and siblings, Derek Mayberry, Harvey Cruze (Donna), Lael, and Robyn (Nancy) Mayberry. Mourning Brenda’s passing, yet celebrating her memory are her sisters, Laurel, Gayle (Walter), and Shawn (Joseph); nieces and nephews, Galen, Randon Corey (Jenny), Niqui’, Shawndra (Marc), Renea, Naryn (Lionel), and Jarrett; great nieces, Lynia and Chloe; great nephews, Demetruius, Elijah, Carson, and Lucas who she claimed as HER grandchildren. Along with relatives and friends. Service 12:00 p.m. Thursday January 14th at Camphor United Methodist Church, 585 Fuller Ave. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) Private Inurnment. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
