Brenda Kay McNeil Brenda Kay McNeil, 68, of Charlotte, NC died Tuesday, May 29, 2012. She was born September 23, 1943 in Lenoir, NC, daughter of the late Woodrow Hampton McNeil and Margaret Walsh McNeil Williams. In addition to her parents, Brenda was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Florence Walsh. She was a model and later a nanny for several families for many years. Caring for children was her passion and she was loved by many children over the years. Brenda is survived by her twin sister, Linda Skurow of Charlotte; aunt, Virginia Whisnant of Hickory; eight cousins, Arlene Wilson, Dianna Earnest, Elaine Oakley, Doug Oakley, Wayne McGee and his wife, Ruby, Bura Jean Dominy, Greg McGee and Donald McGee and his wife, Bonnie. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Hankins and Whittington Chapel. The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Wanda Robinson and her staff for the loving care that they provided to Brenda during her illness. Memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
