Brenda Joyce Ussery

Brenda Joyce Ussery, a loving daughter and beloved family member, has passed away on February 16th, 2023 at the age of 71. She will be deeply missed by her brother Paul, nephew Ryan and his family as well as her many friends and loved ones. Brenda’s first love was for family. She relished the opportunity to gather with them for special occasions and holidays. Brenda was an avid traveler who loved playing bingo and slots, as well as eating at new restaurants with friends. “Never pass up new experiences [Scarlett], they enrich the mind.”-Rhett Butler Margaret Mitchell, Gone With The Wind Her passion for travel was matched only by her dedication to helping others. From an early age as a Candy Striper at BCMC through her career as a Respiratory Therapist, and eventually Registered Nurse with the Veterans Administration Hospital she was dedicated to helping others, a true caregiver. Her kindness and compassion will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Brenda was preceded in death by her Mother Nina, who she loved and missed dearly, and Step-Father Ralph who was their constant companion on their many journeys. Her family takes solace in the hope that she will join them on her final journey. Rest In Peace, Brenda. Your kindness, generosity, and loving spirit will live on in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to have come to know you.
