Brexialee “Brexi” A. Torres Ortiz, 11, of Syracuse was taken from us on Monday January 16, 2023. Brexi was a 6th grade student at Stem @ Blodgett Middle School where she was an honor student, president of her class, loved math, dancing and hugs. Brexi was everyone’s cheerleader, best friend and willing to help anyone in need. She was protective of her sisters, loved family time, cooking and laughed with her whole heart. Brexi was a child full of life and will be remembered as a ray of sunshine everywhere she went. Brexi leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Brenlee “Bre” Ortiz; father, Jose A. Torres; siblings, Joseanlee Z. Torres Ortiz, Zoangelee N. Ortiz; maternal grandmother, Brenda Cepeda; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Medina; paternal grandfather, Jose A. Torres; uncles, Eduard Ortiz and Christian Torres; aunts, Maylin Ortiz and Tiffany Torres; and several cousins. Calling Hours will be Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 3-6PM at Tucker Missionary Baptist Church, Syracuse, NY. Services will be Friday, January 27, 2023, 11AM at the Church.
