November 28th, 1968 - June 17th, 2006
Brian C. Meyers, 37, of Thayer Road, Amsterdam died Saturday evening as the result of a motorcycle accident. Born on November 28, 1968 in Amsterdam he was the son of Albert Bucky and Bonnie Dufel Meyers. He was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. Brian was employed by McLane Food Service in Guilderland as a truck driver for six years. He also for a time was employed by High Rollers in Amsterdam. Brian was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a zest for life and will be missed by all who knew him. Brian was also a member of the Pine Tree Rifle Club. His loving family includes his parents; his life companion, Diane Armstrong of Amsterdam; one sister, Diane Herr and her husband Philip of Gloversville; one niece, Jessi and two nephews, Joshua and Joseph; one great niece, Brooke; several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with the Rev. John Califano presiding. Interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 4 until 8 at Wednesday at the funeral home.
