Brice David Waddell, 70, went home to be with the Lord October 27, 2016. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held 2-4 PM Sunday October 30, 2016 at New Hope Baptist Church in Laurel Springs, NC. A time for Prayer will be officiated by Reverend Brad Wooten. A life-long native of Alleghany County, Brice was the son of the late Eva Mae Sparks and Mack Waddell. He graduated from Sparta High School Class of “66. He retired from Tyson Foods in North Wilkesboro. In addition to his parents Brice also was preceded in death by a sister Maxine Bobbitt, and brothers Junior Waddell and Robert Waddell. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years Carol Jean Mabe Waddell of the home; daughters Pam Solana and Frank of North Wilkesboro, and Beverly Greene and Rick of Laurel Springs; grandchildren Kayla Scheffey and Clinton, Kristen Brinegar and Terry, Rachel Lyalls, and Ashley Lyalls; great-grandchildren Dominic, Caleb, Carter, and Kayden; brothers James Waddell and Shirley of Elizabeth City, and Wade Waddell and Charlotte of Kernersville; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The Family is inviting friends to the home of Mrs. Arlene Mabe for dinner following the time at New Hope Baptist Church.
