Bridgette Rose Velarde
August 7th, 1971 - February 26th, 2021
Bridgette Velarde, of Salinas, California, age 49, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2021. She was born August 7, 1971 in Salinas, California. She was a lifelong resident of Salinas, California. Bridgette was born with a fiery spirit but gentle soul to Rose Ann Quitasol and Paul Velarde. There was no question that the party had started once she entered the room, her positive attitude would light up the room. She loved spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Some of her favorite things to do included watching Lifetime movies, Netflix, meditation videos, and, watching her beloved 49ers team. Bridgette looked forward to any occasion that provided time to spend precious moments with her family to enjoy laugher, good times, and fun. Known lovingly as ‘Momma B’, we will miss hearing Bridgette’s bold voice when she would say her famous sayings of ‘party b******’, ‘oh shooooot’ ‘that’s my girl’, ‘spank that ***’, ‘what’s uppers’, as well as the notorious ‘that baby is starving.’ Bridgette lived her life to the fullest, boldly, wildly, beautifully, uncertainly, imperfectly, and magically. She will be missed, but her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. Bridgette was preceded in death by her loving mother Rose Ann Quitasol, her father Paul Velarde, and her angel son Vincent Gerald Garcia, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Alexander Montano, Aaron Montano, Brandon Arce, Noel Arce, her daughter, Juliana Rose Arroyo, her two grandsons, Alijah Montano and Aaron Montano, her brothers Sonny (Diane) Velarde and Gilbert (Erica) Velarde as well as her sisters Davina (Joseph) Garcia , Celeste (Alfonso) Velarde, and Vanessa (Veronica) Velarde along with numerous beloved nephews and nieces. She is also survived by a large and loving family of many cousins and close friends. Her services will take place at Healey Mortuary where a limited number of people are allowed in attendance. Burial will take place at Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

We Entrusted Bridgette Velarde's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
