Britton D Moorer

Britton David Moorer “Britt” of Holly Hill, South Carolina went on to walk the Streets of Gold, on July 13, 2024. He was born September 2, 1959, to William D. Moorer Sr. and Truette (Kennerly) Moorer in Holly Hill, SC. Britt worked for the United States Post Office for 38 years in South Carolina. He took pride in his service; and was a footprint in the Holly Hill, Vance, and Santee Communities. Nothing brought him more joy than helping the people in his hometown and surrounding area. Britt was super creative and was always working on a project. He took pride in renovating his family farm and helping family and friends with their home improvements. He loved being on the golf course, and lake and spending time with his loved ones. To say he was passionate about his Clemson Tigers and his manicured lawn is an understatement. Rain or shine, Britt now has the best view from above to cheer on his Tigers every football season. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lissa Moorer, stepchildren Kaela (Lacy) Jones, and Michael Karges, and grandchildren Olivia Jones, and Junior Jones. The two sons he never had Lucca and Malachi Venturini. He is also survived by his two sisters, Debbie (Ron) Wilson and Jodie (Tommy) Miller. He will be missed dearly by each of his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and countless other family and friends. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 11:00 am at Providence United Methodist Church, 4833 Old State Rd, Holly Hill, SC 29059. Following the service, you are invited to join his family at his home 6379 Old State Rd, Holly Hill, SC 29059 to celebrate the life of Britt Moorer. His family will take comfort in connecting with those lives he has touched. Beverages and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. Please bring a photograph of Britt and write a small note on the back for our memory wall.
