Bronze Markel Wheeler

Bronze Markel Wheeler “My Honey” also known as Honey Bunny, Dad, Black, Big Sexy, Brother B, Uncle B, and Big Daddy, had just celebrated 57 years of life before crossing over on August 3, 2020. Bronze was born on July 28, 1963 in Germany to Evelyn Iva Louise (Smith) and Arthur Leroy Wheeler. Having been raised in Texas, he moved to California and eventually settled in Sacramento. He was happily married to the love of his life, his “Critterbug”, Peggy Lynn Wheeler. She was the lead in their never-ending love story having just celebrated 20 years of marriage and inseparable for more than 28 years. Besides being a loyal husband, Bronze was a devoted father to his four girls- Tiana, Giovanna, Sheila and Jasmine as well as a proud Papa G (grandfather) to Phoenix, Esmé and Quincy. Bronze was also a protective big brother to his one and only sister Tiffiny. He was a pillar of support to all of his family. He loved hard and kept it real at all times while giving sound advice without sugar coating the truth. Bronze enjoyed time surrounded by family having barbeques and laughing endlessly. He loved to cook, especially when it came to holiday meals. He could crack a joke at anyone’s expense! His deep interest in music and movies was unmatched, having the ability to quote movie lines off the top of his head. His charismatic personality attracted others to him (especially women), and nobody was a stranger in his eyes. He loved deep conversations with people while keeping his inner circle small. Bronze was an avid sports enthusiast and a huge Green Bay Packers fan. He had a competitive spirit, especially when it came to his PlayStation games. Bronze is survived by his wife Peggy of Fair Oaks CA; his daughters Tiana Wheeler of Las Vegas, NV, Giovanna (Bryce) Nason of Carmel Valley, CA, Sheila Parrish of Seaside, CA, and Jasmine (Shérard) Wheeler of Fair Oaks, CA; granddaughters Phoenix, Esmé, and Quincy; sister Tiffiny (William) Davis-Wheeler of Seaside, CA; mother-in-law Pauline; sister-in-law Tammy (Sam), brothers-in-law Brian (Idalia), and Randy (Shannon); aunt Mary Francis (Clarence) Willis of San Angelo, TX; nephews Patrick Burdix Wheeler of Yonkers, NY, Drew (Christina) Davis-Wheeler of Arcadia, CA, Quentin Davis-Wheeler of Seaside, CA, Noah, Logan and Jalen; nieces Samantha, Daisey and Mia; first wife and mother of his two oldest daughters Tami “Rachelle” Daniels of Pacific Grove, CA; many cousins, as well as his mistress (dog) Zerha. He is preceded in death by his parents. Bronze held loving space for all whom were fortunate to have known him. He will be missed beyond expression and live eternally through all of us. As he departs this life, let us not say goodbye, but Peace and One Love as he would say to us. Per Bronze’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
