Bruce Charles Davidson

January 8th, 1940 - August 20th, 2024

Bruce Charles Davidson, 84, of Sun City Center, FL, passed away on August 20, 2024 at LifePath Hospice Center surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Holyoke, MA, he graduated from Holyoke High School, Coyne Electrical School and Westfield State College before becoming an electrician and later a teacher at Chicopee Comprehensive High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Leona. Bruce is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sheila, son Robert, daughters Heather (Jeff Tomalo) and Deborah, sister Florence Chaput, in addition to his nephews, niece, cousins, and beloved in-laws. 

 

Bruce had a love for all things Scottish. In addition to being a long-time drummer in the Holyoke Caledonian Pipe Band and Springfield Kiltie Band, he engaged in travel to various Scottish locales, including Nova Scotia, Edinburgh, Loch Ness, St. Andrews and the Highlands. As a Massachusetts native, Bruce was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

 

Bruce’s Visitation will be Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 3-5 PM at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Dr, Sun City Center, FL 33573. A Memorial Service will be held on Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM. 

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Sun City Center Emergency Squad, 720 Ray Watson Dr, Sun City Center, FL 33573.
